96 K-T-O is dedicated to honoring the greatest rock & roll, pop, and soul music with a spotlight on the biggest hits from the 60s and 70s. K-T-O goes back to the roots of rock ‘n’ roll. Back to the time of big Detroit iron automobiles, fins, chrome, and fuzzy dice. Back to the time when I-5 was brand-new. Back to the time our parents (or some of us) cruised the Miracle Mile and Downtown Redding listening to the Swinging 60 K-V-C-V at 600 AM Redding.

Shannon created and refined the “True Oldies Channel” in his home basement studio. Later the network launched nationally in 2004.

96 K-T-O is proud to be the first California affiliate of the True Oldies Channel. Proud of our mission to “Keep the Music Alive”!
